WYRE 810
WYRE's tower was a bit more diffcult to find than were WNAV towers. It is located in a low lying area at the head of the tidal Spa Creek at 25 Silopanna Road in Annapolis, Maryland. The geo-coords are N38° 58' 13.01, W76° 30' 28.01. The Chesapeake Children's Museum now occupies the studio-office building. Recently, the transmitter has been relaying WKHZ 1590 in Ocean City, Maryland, but it was not on the air when I paid my visit. The tower desperately needs a few coats of paint, but it might not get them... Click on the thumbnails below to see a larger version of pictures I took.
